Tyler has something to tell you...

Yes, Tyler is going to be a big brother!! We are so excited to be adding another little one to our family. I am right at 11 weeks pregnant and due toward the end of June. I have been feeling good for the most part, with a little bit of nausea mixed in here and there - nothing too bad at this point. Tyler is excited too, although I'm sure he doesn't have a clue about what is going on. He knows that there is a "baby in mama's belly" and is very willing to talk to the baby any time. In the beginning when you asked him if he wanted a brother or sister, his response the majority of the time was "sitter". However, now when you ask him his answer is always "No, don't want one". =) Hopefully those sentiments will change as time goes on!!

Weekend in Georgetown, SC

Last weekend we headed down to Georgetown, SC with a bunch of our friends to spend the weekend together and celebrate Thanksgiving a little early. This year there were 11 adults and 7 kids under the age of 4. It was a fun weekend and the kids had a blast playing together.

Elle's 1st Birthday

November 8th was Elle's first birthday. It is so hard to believe that she is 1 already! She is such a sweet girl and had a great birthday party. Tyler had so much fun helping her open her presents and eating birthday cake.

Happy Halloween

Tyler actually got to dress up twice for Halloween this year. On Thursday night we had our church's Trunk or Treat and Fall Festival. Trick or treating was a little overwhelming for Tyler, as he wanted to eat each "treat" as he got it. He lost interest very quickly (which was fine with me since we didn't need any more candy in the house) and we went and rode the train with Aunt Jen, Elle, Tach and Bailey. Then on Friday night we had all of our family over for a soup dinner and then took the kids to some of our neighbors houses to trick or treat. Tyler has so much fun with his cousin Elle and she was such a cute little bunny with her carrot!

Tyler loved his cowboy costume, especially the boots and the gun!

What a cute little bunny rabbit!!

Pumpkin Carving

The Saturday night before Halloween we carved a pumpkin with Tyler. We had been talking about it with him but when it came down to it, he wouldn't put his hands near the inside of that pumpkin! He was very curious about what daddy and I were doing though, and he was more than pleased with the finished product. Every night from then until Halloween he insisted on going outside to light the candle when it got dark.

Picnic in the Mountains

A couple of weekends ago we headed up to Asheville for a picnic with some friends. It was rainy and cool in the morning but it cleared up and turned out to be a beautiful fall day. After our picnic near Davidson River, we headed up to the Fish Hatchery and let the kids feed the fish and then continued on up to Looking Glass Falls. The fall colors were gorgeous and we had a great time visiting with friends.

Gatlinburg Weekend

On October 16 we headed up to Gatlinburg for a long weekend with the Colburn family. The weather was a little rainy but it had started turning cooler so it really made it feel like fall. On Thursday we took Tyler to ride some kiddie rides in Pigeon Forge. He went on his first go cart ride with Grampy which I think scared him a little. He loved riding the carousel with Grammy but I think his favorite were the airplanes. He is definitely his daddy's little boy! Tyler had a wonderful weekend despite a fall that left his face a bit scraped up. He loved spending so much time with his cousin Elle and friends Kylie and Bailey Root. As you can see in some of the pictures below, Tyler and Kylie couldn't get enough of each other!

Having fun at breakfast with Elle
One of the highlights of the trip was seeing a real black bear on Saturday night. We were driving out of the parking lot from dinner with Ryan, Jen, Jeff, Tach and the kids and someone spotted a black bear having his own dinner in the dumpster a few feet away from our car. We stopped the car and watched him for 5-10 minutes until he was finished and walked back up through the parking lot and sidewalk where we had just been - definitely exciting and a little bit scary to think we could have run into him just a few minutes before! The pictures below are a little blurry but you can see the image of the bear right in front of the white van and beside the dumpster.
